We are a nondenominational church consisting of believers in
Jesus Christ; devoted to worshiping God by meeting together to:
- teach His Word, the Bible (1)
- fellowship with one another
- break bread together (weekly)
- pray together
We hold to the Bible as our only authority and guide to faith,
teaching and practice.(2)
We recognize all who believe in and follow Jesus Christ as
members of His one true Church and endeavor to work together for
the expansion of His Kingdom. (3)
We are led by elders (pastors) who are responsible for guiding,
nurturing, and teaching under the authority of the Chief Shepherd,
Jesus Christ. (4)
We recognize the priesthood of all believers, and that all
have individual gifts to be developed and used for service in
the Church and in the world. (5)
We fulfill our mission in the world by living as prepared representatives
of Jesus Christ, bearing His compassion and message. (6)
We desire above all to Love and glorify God, to Love and serve
one another and to express His Love to the world through the gospel.
(7)
What do we believe?
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that He existed
from eternity past in perfect unity with the Father and Holy Spirit;
and that He, being God, became man and lived among us.
(8)
We believe the bible is the inerrant and verbally inspired
Word of God as originally given and that it faithfully communicates
God's revelation to man. (9)
We believe that man is separated from God (spiritually dead)
as a result of sin and that the only remedy for this condition
comes through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ. (10)
We believe that peace with God is possible only through faith
in Jesus Christ, His atoning death on the cross and His literal
resurrection from the grace on the third day. (11)
We believe that conversion to Jesus Christ should be followed
with baptism by immersion as an important profession of faith
in and as a step of obedience to the Lord. (12)
We believe that the Holy Spirit of God indwells all true believers,
baptizing them into the one Body of Christ, the church; and that
as we are filled with the Spirit, we will demonstrate His fruit
and power. (13)
We believe that there is a literal heaven prepared by Jesus
Christ for all who know Him; and a literal hell prepared for the
devil and his angels, and which is the destiny of all who -in
this life- do not receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (14)
We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ for His Church,
the establishment of His earthly Kingdom followed by the final
judgment and eternal state. (15)
Scripture references
- Acts 2:42 They were continually
devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
- 2 Tim. 3:16 All Scripture
is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof,
for correction, for training in righteousness; John 17:17 "Sanctify
them in the truth; Your word is truth.
- Romans 15:5-7 Now may the
God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be
of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,
[6] so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. [7] Therefore, accept
one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of
God. Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching
them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 "Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, [20]
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I
am with you always, even to the end of the age."
- Titus 1:5-9 For this reason
I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains
and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, [6] namely,
if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having
children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.
[7] For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward,
not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not
pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, [8] but hospitable, loving
what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, [9] holding
fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching,
so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and
to refute those who contradict.
-
1 Peter
5:1-4 Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow
elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker
also of the glory that is to be revealed, [2] shepherd the flock
of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion,
but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid
gain, but with eagerness; [3] nor yet as lording it over those
allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock.
[4] And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the
unfading crown of glory.
- 1 Peter 2: 5 & 9 ...you
also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house
for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable
to God through Jesus Christ. (9) But you are a chosen race, a
royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession,
so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called
you out of darkness into His marvelous light; Romans
12:3-8 For through the grace given to me I say to everyone
among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to
think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has
allotted to each a measure of faith. [4] For just as we have
many members in one body and all the members do not have the
same function, [5] so we, who are many, are one body in Christ,
and individually members one of another. [6] Since we have gifts
that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is
to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion
of his faith; [7] if service, in his serving; or he who teaches,
in his teaching; [8] or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he
who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he
who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
- Matthew 28:19-20 "Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, [20]
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I
am with you always, even to the end of the age." 2
Cor. 5:19-20 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the
world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them,
and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. [20] Therefore,
we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal
through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to
God.
- Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher,
which is the great commandment in the Law?" [37] And He
said to him, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
[38] "This is the great and foremost commandment. [39] "The
second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
[40] "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and
the Prophets." Galatians 5:13 For you were called
to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity
for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Matthew
5:16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way
that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who
is in heaven.
- 1 John 1:1 What was from
the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our
eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning
the Word of Life 2 Cor. 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
- 2 Cor. 3:16 but whenever
a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 2
Peter 1:20-21 But know this first of all, that no prophecy
of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, [21] for
no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved
by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
- Romans 3:23 for all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Acts
20:21 solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance
toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Romans 5:1 Therefore, having
been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, 1 Cor. 15:3-4 For I delivered
to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ
died for our sins according to the Scriptures, [4] and that He
was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according
to the Scriptures,
- Matthew 28:19-20 "Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, [20]
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I
am with you always, even to the end of the age." Acts
8:35-39 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from
this Scripture he preached Jesus to him. [36] As they went along
the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look!
Water! What prevents me from being baptized?" [37] [And
Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may."
And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is
the Son of God."] [38] And he ordered the chariot to stop;
and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the
eunuch, and he baptized him. [39] When they came up out of the
water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch
no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing.
- Romans 8:9-11 However,
you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit
of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit
of Christ, he does not belong to Him. [10] If Christ is in you,
though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive
because of righteousness. [11] But if the Spirit of Him who raised
Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus
from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through
His Spirit who dwells in you. Ephes. 5:18-20
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but
be filled with the Spirit, [19] speaking to one another in psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with
your heart to the Lord; [20] always giving thanks for all things
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
Acts 1:8 ... but you will receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses
both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to
the remotest part of the earth."
- John 14:1-3 "Do not
let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
[2] "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it
were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place
for you. [3] "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there
you may be also. Rev. 2:11-15 'He who
has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.' [12]
"And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: The One
who has the sharp two-edged sword says this: [13] 'I know where
you dwell, where Satan's throne is; and you hold fast My name,
and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness,
My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
[14] 'But I have a few things against you, because you have there
some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak
to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things
sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality. [15] 'So
you also have some who in the same way hold the teaching of the
Nicolaitans.
- Acts 1:11 They also said,
"Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky?
This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will
come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven." Matthew
6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On
earth as it is in heaven. Rev. 21:1 Then
I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and
the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.
