Awana Program
 |
|
Our Awana
Program
here at CCF is part of more than 13,000 Awana
Clubs which operate around the world. We
welcome boys and girls Kindergarten through 6th
Grade of any faith. Our goal is to "reach boys
and girls with the gospel of Christ and train
them to serve Him". We do this on Tuesday
nights from September through the end of April
from 6- 8 p.m. A typical Awana night includes an
opening ceremony, handbook time, game time, song
and story time and passing out awards. The kids
have a great time as they learn about Jesus and
memorize scripture. Contact Kim Roach at
762-1271. |

Music Team

|
The mission of the CCF Music
Team is to facilitate the praise
and worship of God through His Son, Jesus Christ by the
power and leading of the Holy Spirit. As God inhabits
the praises of His people, we believe that music and
worship are of fundamental importance in church life.
The spiritual life and growth of the church are enhanced
when real praise and worship take place. The singing of
psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs is found throughout
the Old and New Testaments denoting the importance God
places upon them. Worship is one of the ways of
communing with God. Worship does not change God,
worshippers are changed by worshipping God. We believe
it is the function of the Music Team to develop
worshippers by helping to create an atmosphere of
freedom of worship. We want to encourage the capacities
of individuals for worship thus improving corporate
worship. To this end, we try to use a variety of styles
of music as well as other media to allow people the
freedom to move toward God. It is in His presence and
power that the inner self worships in Spirit and Truth.
The outward expression of worship can be seen and heard
when this happens. The Music Team at CCF strives for
excellence instrumentally and vocally. We believe the
church is a place to find, develop, and ultimately give
back the gifts with which He has graced us. Members of
the Team encourage one another in developing their
personal worship and the gifts God gave us. Throughout
the
history of CCF, the Music Team has always tried to put
Jesus at the forefront. He alone is worthy of worship.
Our goal is to glorify God which will lead to worship,
evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, healing,
repentance, growth, renewal, forgiveness, freedom. And
in a word, grace.
Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to Our
God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him. Psalm
147:1 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as
you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and
as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to
God. Colossians 3:16 The Music Team is grateful to God and CCF
for a chance to serve the body with the gifts that God has given them.
Dr. Randy Tyner leads our Music Team. |

Parish Nurse
 |

The Parish
Nurse Program is a partnership between Trinity
Regional Health System and local congregations. The
goal of this partnership is to then help individuals
prevent illness and promote healing of the whole person
- body, mind, spirit and relationships. Through this
ministry, our desire is to express the love of Christ to
the whole person and to the community beginning with
Community Christian Fellowship. Specific activities and
responsibilities of the Parish Nurse may include the
following: health promotion, referral and advocacy,
visitation, facilitate support ministries and
interpretation of the relationship between health and
faith, communication and documentation. Examples of the
categories may include: blood pressure checks, group
education, assisting persons to use existing community
resources, meeting with families to plan care, making
home, hospital, nursing home, and bereavement visits,
coordinating volunteers to provide transportation,
prepare meals, and provide respite care, assisting
families in time of crisis, encouraging the use of
prayer, scripture, and devotional materials as aids to
healing. If you would like to know more about the

Women's Ministries
 |
|
Women's
Ministry desires to
help the women of CCF walk in integrity, therefore, we
minister to the needs of the whole person - physical,
emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Volleyball
nights, bible study, prayer groups, soup & salad nights,
craft nights, secret sisters, get away days to Galena,
annual Christmas celebrations, are just some of the ways
we have shared our hearts and lives with each other. The
Holy Spirit has given us a common bond and , as we lift
the name of Jesus higher, we strengthen and lengthen
that bond. Please come and join us! |
